GDT Ácido poliglicólico quirúrgico (PGA) Sutura un homopolímero sintético trenzado absorbible de ácido glicólico. Compuesto por un ácido poliglicólico recubierto de policaprolactona y estearato de calcio.
Dado que el ácido poliglicólico no es una sustancia orgánica natural, provoca una respuesta mucho menos inflamatoria.
Se absorbe por hidrólisis. Las suturas poseen una gran resistencia a la tracción y una excelente seguridad en los nudos.
Después de dos semanas de implantación, el 85% de la resistencia a la tracción inicial permanece con sutura de ácido poliglicólico.
La sutura sintética significa que esta sutura es perfectamente compatible con cada paciente y no provocará ninguna reacción corporal negativa.
Proporciona soporte para heridas durante 30 días.
La absorción completa se logra por hidrólisis en 60-90 días.
