El polvo Surgispon® se puede aplicar seco en forma de polvo o como una pasta mezclada con una solución salina. Se pueden lograr diferentes consistencias y grados de viscosidad variando la proporción de polvo a líquido para un uso óptimo en estructuras irregulares como el hueso y para llenar cualquier cavidad o fisura según sea necesario.
Los cirujanos y el personal de quirófano se benefician de la máxima flexibilidad, adaptabilidad y fácil manejo del producto. Surgispon® Putty se puede aplicar a mano o con una jeringa estándar en áreas de difícil acceso. Es adhesivo, especialmente cuando se aplica en procedimientos de esternotomía y craneotomía; no se sabe que cause dehiscencia ósea, a diferencia de las ceras óseas convencionales.
